Instructors

Sensei Joe Timpone (left) holds the rank of Nidan (2nd degree black belt) in Aikido. He began his formal training in Aikido in 1995. Since then he has studied Aikido under Jim Klar Sensei (Cleveland Aikikai). Currently, Sensei Timpone instructs at the Cleveland Dojo and at the Medina Dojo (a.k.a. The Blind Squirrel Dojo). Sensei Timpone has lived in Medina since 1997 with his wife and two daughters.

Sensei Brian Tawney (right) holds the rank of Nidan (2nd degree black belt) in Aikido. He began training in Aikido in the Spring of 1990. After moving to Florida in 1993, he continued his training at the University of Florida. Currently, Sensei Tawney lives in Akron and instructs at the Medina dojo (a.k.a. The Blind Squirrel Dojo). Sensei Tawney has been instructing at the Medina dojo since the doors first opened in the fall of 2006.
